I’m working on a job pitch where the target audience is kids age 9-13, so I’m having to remember what was interesting to me at that age. Not sex, that’s for sure. I think I’m pretty in touch with the “tweenage boy” mindset, but the girls are a mystery to me. What are prepubecent girls interested in? Horses?

It’s insane that there are videos of surgery online. Internet! This one’s cool because they did a great job of getting all the blood out of Joel’s abdomen. It’s so clean. And the surgeons put the appendix in a plastic bag before it’s even out of his body. I want to do this job someday. I want to be that detached…
Just got off the phone with David Arquette and a newly appendix-free Ben Joseph. Good times. It looks like this show is going to happen for real, and they’re giving me a lot of creative freedom to interpret these characters… “licence to kill” was the phrase used.
The David Arquette/Ben Joseph phonecall has been delayed because Ben’s appendix is (maybe) going to burst. Eee.. Get well, Ben! Faster!
